Consider Moving During the Off-Season

Most people elect to move during the summer, when the kids are out of school and when vacations are normally taken. This means that from May to September movers are extremely busy. If you can arrange for your move at another time of year, you are competing with fewer potential customers and have a much better chance of securing a high-quality move from the company of your choice. Also, most movers offer better pricing during the off-peak season that generally runs between October and April. Most people prefer to move at the beginning or end of the month, because most rent and mortgage payments are due on the first of each month. So, if you can move in the middle of the month, you have a much better chance of not only securing the moving professional you want, but also the pickup and delivery dates you require.

MOVING? HELP FROM FRIENDS MAY NOT BE THE BEST option..

However tempting that may be, please keep in mind that asking your friends for help with moving is a huge favor .  You are asking them to spend maybe an entire day or more lifting, carrying and laboring heavily for you, for free. So before you ask your friend to help with moving, consider the consequences and implications carefully… Just like any good friend, they may feel bad to refuse you, even though they may really want to. At some point, you may have to reciprocate the favor.  If it’s likely you won’t have the time, energy, or willingness, then it’s not fair to ask them for a favor now. When you ask people to carry heavy things from you, there’s a great chance of injuries, especially back injuries. You don’t want to be responsible for the pain and suff...

Therefore, what you really need is a fully licensed mini move company that will provide a stress-free moving experience, and of course – one that provides small moving options at affordable price. Despite the small scale of your household move, you still are advised to have your small moving cost estimated prior to moving day so that you will know exactly what you’ll be asked to pay. No more last minute surprises! With a written binding estimate in your hands, you will be able to concentrate on other aspects of your pre-move preparations. Expect the final cost to be a combination of the shipment weight, the move distance, the number of workers busy with the partial move, and the number and nature of the services required to complete the small moving job.
